crochet club 2011

the crochet club was launched in january 2011 and we had 250 members - the design of the project was based on art deco design, specifically the design of the original wurlitzer juke boxes - all yarns were from the rowan range and beads were from the debbie abrahams range - over the course of 6 months members created a colourful crochet panel, which included techniques such as chevron and wave crochet, beadwork and jacquard crochet - the club had the added bonus of a dedicated blog which explained all techniques and offered tips to help members work through the project

'i entered my 2011 crochet club wall hanging in our village show and i got the trophy for the best in show - i was totally overwhelmed as there were many village heavy weights and myself a mere outsider - thank you for making this possible - all the best' - mary
